**FWD = gay
Therefore, Golf = gay.
Except the AWD variants, of course.

I find it slightly amusing that many young people have never driven a RWD
automobile nowadays. They have no idea what they're missing. Perhaps they're
just all gay now.

Must be.

I will definitely test drive the new Torana if Holden ever makes it.
They better call it a Torana.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only RWD cars that are close to Golf
sized are BMW 3 series and Lexus IS250. Both cost heaps more for the
same accessories and performance (as Golf GTI).

AWD alternatives are generally less fuel economical.

If I was single I'd probably be driving a Skyline R32 GTR, or maybe a
Lotus Elise - anything fast and uncomfortable and certainly not gay. :)

Me either. I was interested in the Liberty GT or 3.0R until I sat in
one and discovered the incompetent interior design with too little seat
travel and the dashboard I banged my knees against.

The 3.0R-B would be my pick easily just a shame about the interior space. :(

My R32 GTR was pretty comfy.

The 100+ more nM would be nice too.

What sort of fuel economy is the new car returning Daz?

Its only on its second tank so its too early to get any reliable figures.
The first tank full worked out about 11lts/100klm but the dealer filled
it and rest the trip meter but the odo showed more klms so I don't know
exactly how many klms it did, I will get a better idea on the second tank.
I have a feeling its going to use a lot more fuel than the Corolla.

I pity car designers who have to accommodate people with height problems:)
I drove a 3.R B spec about 400klms last weekend and apart from the auto
trans which I disliked it is an awesome car.

I spent last Sat driving one of those and without getting out a tape
measure it doesn't seem a hell of a lot bigger than our Impreza, it is
longer so there is more rear seat leg room but everywhere else there
isn't much in it.
Its a lot more economical than your Calais, it averages 9.8lts/100klm,
the Calais it replaced averaged approx 12.0lts/100klm.

Is that city or hwy?

Because I can get around 9.5l/100 k's pretty easily from my Calais in hwy
runs was around 10's before ls1 edit.

Nope, normal people, not circus freaks over 6' tall:)

Strange thing I have always hated the circus even when I was a kid I would
rather build something in the shed like a billy kart or something than to
watch a few fuckwits fly around in a huge tent that was around 50 + degrees.
