My daughter bought a 2025 Forester after my wife got her Accent and loves it, but daughter is voicing some concerns about the quality of the windshield after having a stone crack repaired. Is it true some of the camera and lighting sensors are a integral part of the glass? (which may be why she is having viewing issues with the display screen)

I don't believe they changed the system for 2025 models, but past models the Eyesight system is only in the cameras that are mounted behind the glass in the cabin. If the repair is in the areas that the cameras are viewing, then the repair could definitely affect the Eyesight system, just as a dirty windshield or snow and rain can affect it. Since it is new and under warranty, best to check with your service department if she is having issues. As far as quality, yes, Subaru's are known to have easily chipped and cracked windshields.
