I have a 2001 forester with 215/60 16 tires. I do a lot of driving on pavement but live about 10 miles off pavement on county maintained gravel road, which often means loose dirt or deep mud or ruts or washboards. Any recommendations for tires that would hold up well for both highway and dirt road driving?

I have always run Contentinal tires after I wore out the stock tires. I drive on country maintained roads as well to get to some of my favorite hunting and fishing spots. They have held up great. I have not driven on them as much as you are describing but I think that they might have something that would hold up to what you are dealing with. I get mine from Discount Tire, if you have one close give them a call and see what they say. Good luck and let us know what you choose!
