This is a 2008 Suburu Forester, SOHC, ej25 engine
I am replacing the left head due to oil sensor crack (gave up on the jb weld and tap methods)
I bought the head and am adjusting valves while the head is off the engine before installation of the head gasket. FYI: Adjusted cyl 1 with arrow at top, cyl 3 with arrow at 90 degrees of top.
Here is my potential problem: the Right exhaust valve barely opens on cyl 1. Also, the Right exhaust valve barely opens on cyl 3. The intake valve opens on cyl 1 while the left cyl 3 exhaust valve opens. This seems wrong to me.
Is this correct operation?
