Seems crazy, but I cannot figure out how to turn the radio off. I can turn it down until I can't hear it, but then I think I am also turning down the volume for phone calls, etc. I can turn the whole console off, but not just the radio.
Thanks!

When you push in on the volume button it mutes the radio, but leaves everything else alone. Works in my 2020 Legacy, which I believe is the same system as the Outback.

Yes, I have a 2010 Outback (210,000 miles and going strong!). Push the volume button and it shuts off the radio but will still allow phone calls to come through. Phone call volume, I am pretty sure, is only controlled through the steering wheel volume control.

Press and hold the "Source" button on the steering wheel to turn off the audio?

You can also press and hold the volume button. This will shut of both infotainment and display. (You will see a message on the display telling you that this is happening.) The car seems to remember this setting, because you will need to press and hold the volume button again to turn the display back on.
