2006 WRX (5-spd) transmission whine. I hear it's possible to remove the back part if the gearbox without a huge disassembly. Can anyone elaborate on my plan to ... Drain oil, rem drive shaft, disc exh and the bow-tie motor mount to firewall so engine will lean down & aft. And, I assume the cross member will have to be lowered and shifter disconnected. This is set-up phase. Then its time to remove back end of gear box in order to replace bearings. Any ideas are welcome. Please Advise, Thanks, Ron
