My husband and I have just moved to Reno, Nevada. I'm a long-time
Subaru owner, and we currently drive a 1999 Subaru Forester. I don't
mind leaving the Los Angeles area behind in general, but we must leave
behind our superb independent Subaru mechanic (Suby Specialties in
Monorovia), and need to find a good Subaru repair shop in Reno.
I've done some preliminary research on Google, and have found that the
following shops specialize in Subaru repairs:
* Lithia Subaru (dealer), 2270 Kietzke Ln Reno, NV 89502

* The Auto Clinic (independent), 2255 Glendale Ave. #4, Sparks, NV 89431

Since our Forester is a 1999, I would prefer to find a good independent
mechanic than go to the dealer (it's usually as good or better, and
cheaper), but am open to the dealer if that dealer really is the best
Subaru repair shop in the area.
So, a couple of questions. First, has anybody here had experience with
any of the shops I list? If you have, please tell me about it.
Second, have I missed any shops that I should check out? Third, are
there any auto repair shops in the Reno area that I don't mention that
you want to warn me about?
