When using cruise control on highway at 100 km/hr and having to climb a moderate slope the engine RPM rises, so I need to disconnect cruise control and use gas pedal. However, when climbing even an rather abrupt slope at 50 km/hr using cruise control the engine RPM stays steady at about 2000 RPM. It prompts the idea that the engine has enough power but the CVT is 'faulty' or is not properly programmed. Any ideas how to fix the issue?
