With the introduction of the Santa Cruz and Ford Maverick, I wonder if Subaru will consider either bringing back the Baja name or introduce a new model to compete here? It seems like a market that would be right up Subaru's alley with the whole adventure/utility aspect of these mini trucks.
I for one would jump all over it. The Santa Cruz cabin is just a tiny bit smaller than a compact SUV such as the Forester or Tucson (which the truck is based on.)
As of right now, the Maverick has my eye as I have owned Ford Trucks in the past.
What do you guys think? Will Subaru jump into this new hot and emerging segment? I think they will and should, the question is will they jump in fast enough?
