My sister is a nursing home and is immobile. I live in another city 150 miles away and have tried to cancel a Starlink subscription 2 times.
The first time i didn't have the VIN number of the car (It has been sold by her estate). I was astonished that they can't look up the account
by any other method--her name and/or SSN or maybe birth date. I had all that information. I also have her power of attorney. I told them that I would get the VIN and asked if
they needed to talk to her because she cannot use the phone. They said no that was not necessary. When I called again with the VIN they insisted
that they need to talk to her and would not cancel the subscription. My only recourse at that point was to call the credit card company and identify the charge as
fraudulent. This is unnecessary bullshit.

This is why I seldom subscribe to anything. Companies will lie themselves blue in the face to prevent someone from canceling.

Yeah they tried and tried to get me to sign up but no go and no way. Glad to hear that I was right in steering clear of something I don't need.

I am assuming you are a male. Either call and talk with a squeaky voice or have a gal friend act as your sister. The squeaky voice has worked for me.

BTW I signed up to Starlink today but I used a card that I'll cancel out when I move. Hopefully soon. If they try to charge it automatically without permission, they'll be sadly disappointed when they find the account has been closed.
