Soon to be Forester owner questions

Hello. I am looking at purchasing a Forester 2012 premium pzev 40K miles 1 owner (in her 80's) her daughters asking $7,500. (they don't know much about the car bc out of state) We've taken it for a test drive and will be looking at it again this week. I know that the AWD was disconnected due to it "not working" and it was too expensive to fix. The a/c runs great but seems loud. Is there anything specific with this model I should be looking for?
