shifter knob thread size

A friend of mine is buying a replacement shift knob for her SO's '02
WRX with subaru short-throw shifter.

Anyone here know what the thread is on the knob on this shifter?

1mm bigger than the shift knob you end up buyuing.

12x1.25
It's the same as the lug nuts if you want to use that for a reference.
There aren't too many aftermarket knobs with the proper threads (Momo
makes some, as does Kartboy). If you want to be absolutely certain it
will fit you can always go for one of the "universal" types that secure
with set screws instead of threading on.

The person ordering it said that hte shop wanted to know so they'd get
it right. We'll see.
