Shake in steering while slightly steering left at highway speed?

My wife's 2017 Forester 2.5i has a slight vibration shake felt in the steering wheel when travelling at 75-80 mph and putting slight turning pressure on the steering wheel towards the left. It doesn't occur when straight or right turn pressure, nor in harder turns.

Put her on a rack to do safety checks on all of the bearings, linkages, struts, sway bars etc. and nothing had play with a crowbar putting pressure on it.

Any ideas?

No, but I did find the culprit: passengers side lower control arm's cylinder swing bushing. Here's how to find the issue: jack up the car and while someone is looking or your phone is recording the control arm joints, try and force the tire from side to side, you'll see the movement quite clearly. My wife's Forester has 120K on to now.

I replaced the entire arm as it has the three isolation joints included for about $80. I almost decided to do both, but since they aren't bad, and I can get the car aligned cheaply by a family member, I just did the passenger side. When I do the driver's side, I'll likely replace the anti-sway bar isolation rubber as well because that looks in about the same condition as the rubber on the old control arm.

I'm glad you found the problem. Thanks for letting me know what it is. Our Forester has a long way to go before it has that much mileage on it, but but I know what to check for if it does happen.
