Rear Gate Bar for 2005 Outback

Does anyone know if the rear tailgate of the 2005 Outback is prepared
to accept a rear gate bar? I've seen one or two around, but Subaru
doesn't show this option of '05 and the dealer pleads ignrance.

I don't have first hand knowledge of installing a "bar" to the tailgate, but
I do know the tailgate is no longer skinned in steel. It's now aluminum I've
heard, so may not be able to support much.
