Passenger door won't latch

When I try to close the passenger door on my 2001 Forester, the door won't latch. if you push it really hard, it'll lightly latch, but pop right back open.

Does anyone here have a clue on that one?

if I need a part, which one?

It sounds like your door latch mechanism is either stuck, misaligned, or worn out. Try spraying some WD-40 or lithium grease into the latch to free it up.

Or there is something physically keeping it from closing/locking.

Take it to a body shop. They'll likely to have it done inside of five minutes.
