Parking brake light flashing

I changed out the brake pads and rotors on my 2010 Outback. Now when I set the electronic parking brake the "Brake" light on the instrument panel flashes instead of staying lit. When I release the brake the light still flashes and I have to turn the car off to reset it. Any ideas what is going on here?

Have the brake module checked. It might be the cause of the problem.

I ended up trading the car in a year later (not for that reason). I think that because it had an electric parking brake I needed to hook up into the computer system to clear the code.
