Outback Hitch

Hi,

I have an Outback with about 5 months left on the lease.

My wife bought a 50 lb ebike that requires a hitch mount bike rack. I don't have hitch on my Outback.

I checked with the dealer. I can get a 2" hitch installed for around $600.

He also though I couldn't transfer it to another Subaru vehicle when my lease expires. With 5 months left on my lease, that doesn't sound like a great idea. Unless I buy the car.

Anyone have any experience transferring a hitch from one Subaru to another?

Unless you plan to purchase the lease out I wouldnt bother with it. Wait until you get the new car or see if your local dealer is offering any deals to get you out of the lease early and then do it.
