This a 2006 Outback 3.0 (H6). Serious oil leak dripping out from front of engine just in line with timing cover. Only when engine is running. It stops almost right away when off. A mechanic told me to first check pcv valve to make sure it does not cause crankcase pressure build-up. So before I hand him the car for a more serious in-debt repair, I was going to look at that pcv valve. I am searching for the pcv valve location. One source said it is hidden behind the windshield washer fluid reservoir. In my case the reservoir is all the way front left, only accessible by removing the bumper cover ( ). Do we really have to remove the reservoir , thus the bumper, to reach the pcv valve on this 3.0 engine?
