I've done many clutch replacements over the years and have always removed the transmission; this will be my first clutch on a Subaru: I read elsewhere that in some circumstances it may be easier to remove the engine than the transmission: I will be doing the job in my garage on my back, so pulling the engine seems very attractive. The car has 167,000 miles in Northeast winters...lots of rusty bolts to contend with. Are there any recommended write-ups on doing it either way? Tnx
