Need advice fast please!

2010 2.5L Impreza non turbo just had an engine replaced at a shop but I'm still having misfire in the 3rd cylinder. Tech is telling me the reluctor ring on the crank shaft is wrong and needs to be replaced. New to Subaru's, not sure what this means. Did they install the wrong engine?? I just paid $6700 for a rebuilt engine and now they need to work on the engine?? Help please.
