Hello, I am new to the Subaru community. I have recently received the opportunity to potentially acquire a 2002 WRX. It has been sitting for some time, since about 2016 from the registration sticker on the plate. The story goes that it belonged to the son of my grandfather's wife, who he recently married. He is a lawyer down in California and now has no need for this vehicle, thanks to his new income. It has a rats nest inside the engine bay, but it looks like the car was very well taken care of and tastefully modified. I received photos of the engine bay and saw there were two high qualify stick on plaques attached to a plastic cover on the intake manifold. One is for APS performance engineering, and the other is for Unichip tuning technology. I began looking on the internet and can find almost no information regarding APS. From the looks of it, there is an APS blowoff valve, APS TMIC, APS Turbo back 3 inch exhaust, and an APS intake and turbo inlet. I found some of these parts on the internet, but there is little to no information on them. They are all out of stock as well. From what I can tell, APS was a performance shop back in the early 2000's that made parts for tuner cars. I found some TT kits for 350z's and some other intercooler kits for Subarus. They dont seem to have a website, and looking through old forums it seems that people were quite fond of these parts. I also looked into Unichip and it seems that they have a European division and an American division. However, none of these divisions seemed to have any products pertaining to the 2002 wrx. Unichip makes piggyback ECU's but that is all that I have been able to find. If this vehicle was tuned back in the early 2000's, I would love to learn about a company like this. These sorts of companies pioneered the tuning we have today, and that to me is fascinating.

If anyone has any knowledge of these two companies, please let me know as I am extremely keen to learn about the parts on this vehicle. Thanks very much! Safe journeys, and have a great day!
