I'm looking for a new to me Subaru. I had an 06 Forester 2.5x many years ago in college (RIP. i totaled it.. but it save my future wife's and my own life. as we spun across an highway).
I now have a family of my own and am looking for a Sedan that will be fun to drive, decently fast, and good for family stuff.
So, my short list is basically any of the following from between 2005 to 2009 and a manual Transmission. preferably around 100k miles:
Legacy 2.5gt (Wagon would be fine to)
Forester 2.5xt
Outback 2.5xt
I've Gathered that I'm essentially looking for unicorn, but I'm not really looking to Do the Tuner thing. A byproduct of my riding motorcycles has taught me the value of the throttle to get out of trouble.. and i have experienced crashes in cars that i could not get out of because the vehicle i was in had neither the ass, nor the traction to get out of the way.
I know I'm New, But I'm hoping to be here a while.
What should i look out for when one i'm willing to go after pops up?
