2022 Outback Touring. The vehicle is difficult to work with for locking/unlocking doors and opening the rear hatch. This is perhaps the most annoying vehicle I have ever owned in those respects.

Does anyone else have the following problems:
Very slow for door locks to respond to the unlock/lock button on the key fob
Very slow or no response to touching the "lock" button on the driver's door handle when exiting the vehicle
Very Very slow response to the hatch opening with the key fob
Very short range with the key fob for any function

The problems exist for both key fobs even after changing batteries. I have had this issue for two years in all locations (it is not some interference from my house). I am not sure why this Subaru fob performance is so poor compared to other vehicles I have owned.

Thank you for your thoughts on any possible fixes.

Regarding short range, the fob for my 2015 Outback is about 25 feet. For everything else you listed, check the fob's battery. Actually, just swap it with a new battery.

I have an Outback 2020 Premium + options I don't have any issues with Key Fobs 4 years changed the battery this years now 12V Battery very healthy no issue since 4 years got a flats tire fixed by Subaru annoying external white LED light i'm used to by now start and stop doesn't bother me
I don't need a turbo to compete on the road 182hp plenty enough for me i use to have a Honda with 132hp for 20 years
no electronic in the Honda 2002 now it's a night mare to learn the system and we are spy 24/7 when driving
could be the key fobs itself or the receiver from the car electronics system not working properly I know $600 for a new one what a ripoff some time i turn off the engine when the level it's on driving mode instead parking drive the car nuts it happen but the car still working fine I know there are Lemon cars build in every car makers
