On-going saga
EGR replaced with genuine Subaru part. This eliminated the P0403 code. DPF cleaned successfully - thus eliminated the DPF code.
Still getting intermittent P0409 - EGR Control Circuit A. I can clear the code in the morning and can stop/start engine all day without it reappearing. Then in the evening after sitting the code will reappear. It disappeared for two days and then yesterday was rainy and cold and the code reappeared.
Could it be something simple like condensation / damp getting into a connection somewhere?
My gut feeling is THIS was the original problem that led to EGR fail and DPF clogging.
Would finding the EGR connectors and squirting in WD40 be ok?
Many thanks - it's driving me crazy...
