Impreza fog lights

My grandson has a '17 Impreza hatchback that he wants to install fog lights. Is this a major undertaking?

Not really.
There are several kits out there, both factory and aftermarket, to put fog lights on that car.
If he's got basic mechanical and electrical skills, it's the sort of thing he could do in an afternoon.
