Ignition key issue

I am having a problem with my 2017 forester. It is not keyless. I’ve key gets stuck when turning off engin. The key cannot be removed until it locks. This does not happen every time but often I. Know the shifter must be in park and the ke pushed inward as it is turned.I can usually get the key to the lock position by shifting back and forth. Several times any help would be appreciated

Key stuck and gear stuck in Park

When I park my 2012 Legacy in the garage, put it in park and turn the key to take it out, it won’t turn all the way. The motor turns off, but the key doesn’t turn all the way. Then it’s freezen and won’t turn at all and won’t shift out of park. I Looked online and saw it could be a battery...

Mine did this intermittently until it was stuck for 10 hours. Subaru had to replace a plate located under the stick for Park, Drive, etc. Seems to be a common problem with Subarus.
