How to Program Homelink with the Forester Touring Smart Mirror

Just received delivery of my 2025 Forester Touring that is equipped with a smart mirror. The HomeLink buttons are on the right side of the mirror instead of the left like our 2019 Forester. The manual doesn't address the HomeLink procedures for the smart mirror, and using the normal mirror directions I can't get it to link to my garage door. Advice? Thank you.

There are several videos on the web that details the process. It depends to some extint on your brand of opener. I have a Chamberlain with a rolling security code so had get a ladder and push a button on the opener during the setup procedure to get it programmed fully.

Thanks Dick for your quick response. I reached out to my salesman about the issue. He informed me today that although other Subarus with smart mirrors come with HomeLink, the Forester Touring does not! Why on God’s green earth it doesn’t is beyond me. I’m currently addressing the issue with Subaru corporate.
