I don't know a whole lot about cars, but I've been learning. I was wondering if anyone has knowledge on any upgrades for head gaskets for a turbo set up. I want to turbo my forester at some point, but I don't want to blow my head gasket. Would multi layer steel, or copper be better? Or is there any other preventative measures all together? Thanks a bunch!

Well done forced induction systems does not require and should not need more in the way of headgaskets. Forced induction merely overcomes the vaccum normally encountered in the intake system when more power is demanded. I've had both turbo and blower and the only difficulties I encountered is a lean running system due to improper design. Be sure you get a well designed kit that address not only the intake air but the extra fuel demanded as well. Any other changes should be addressed by the kit. It is not a simple bolt on affair but requires the entire fuel management system to be addressed. Including the ecu programming. Doing this half way will insure some very costly damage down the road and not very far down the road.
