Has anyone installed auxiliary driving or fog lights on a late model Forester? What did you learn?

I've only had my 2025 Forester for a few days and I'm already determined to somehow get brighter headlights. Apparently you can't upgrade the stock LED bulbs, so I'm researching options for auxiliary white lights. I'd like to get some help for both the high and low beams.

Please share your experience. Where is the best place to mount them? What model/brand do you recommend? How did you wire them?

Thanks in advance. When I get my own aux lights, I will report back to the forum.

I'd look at after market providers like PIAA etc. And when you do, I suggest good ole tungsten halogen lights for their superior broad spectrum output compared to LED lighting. Sure they can burn out eventually, and they draw lot of current but then nothing comes for free.

Among makers of automotive auxillay lights are KC Hight lights, PIAA and others. Look at companies who deal with the off road market. Although, it's getting had to find tungsten lights anymore, because everyone has drunk the LED Koolaid.
