Hello and thanks in advance for reviewing. After replacing my heads with new ones on my ej257 swapped bugeye. It has all 2.0 intake, non AVCS cams, Cam angle bracket for cam position sensor.
Replaced them due to Leakdown failure previously. First start up this weekend again and my boost gauge is showing all vacuum and no boost plus it is very underpowered and dies after roughly 15-20 seconds.
I did a little more testing today and I'm wondering if it could be fuel related?
I had the cam position sensor disconnected and had my wife turn it over so that I could check the fuel injectors with a mechanics stethoscope but, by the time we got to the passenger side... It was firing up? I assumed it wouldn't start without the cam sensor connected.
I noticed that on cylinder 4 the injector seems to be rapidly firing but, cylinder 2 seemed much slower? Cylinders 1 and 3 are TBD. I'll need to re check cylinders 1 and 3.
One thing I have a question about is that I setup a parallel fuel line to my fpr. How possible is it that if 2 outgoing lines are a good amount longer than the front (I know defeats the parallel purpose) would cause it not to get enough fuel and run?
Any help is appreciated.
This is getting frustrating and I'm running out of ideas and getting beyond my new knowledge.
Thanks!
