Does anyone find it strange that I need a new front axle on my 2017 Forester? She has 45,000 miles of San Francisco driving. A few 300 mile trips but she stays close to home. No major accidents. This will come out to $3600!

Does anyone find it strange that I need a new front axle on my 2017 Forester? She has 45,000 miles of San Francisco driving. A few 300 mile trips but she stays close to home. No major accidents. This will come out to $3600!

I have a 2018 Forester XT and just had the passenger CV joint/axle replaced at 37000 miles. The dealership covered it under the 5 year 60,000 mile powertrain warranty after I argued that it should be covered. Subaru of America told me it was NOT covered after I opened a case with them. This is despite the fact that it is listed on their "mysubaru" website under warranty information. I will not be purchasing another Subaru when this one dies. (My fifth new one)
