2.5i 2018 Forester. 125k miles.
The last couple weeks I've noticed my car making what could best be described as a rattle/grumble. This only happens upon accelerating when the rpm is between ~1800-2200rpm. Higher than that it sounds normal, lower and it sounds normal. The sound appears to be coming from the right (passenger) side of the engine. It's not incredibly loud, but definitely noticeable, even with loud music playing.
There are no warning lights displaying. A few months ago I had the front catalytic converter replaced as it was cracked. As well as the front lower control arms replaced.
I haven't noticed any lack of acceleration. Possibly a small drop in gas mileage, but that could be coincidental as it usually varies between 24-30. It's been 22-25 the last couple weeks with the cold weather. It makes the sound even when the engine is plenty warm, so I know its not a cold engine issue.
I know it's a tall ask without listening yourselves, but would anyone possibly have any hypothesis to what it could be?
