Hi everyone...my gal bought a Forester last year and after @5 months the left front started shaking violently in right hand curves on the freeway, at 60mph up. I swapped out the shock and spring, and it still does it. I'm starting to think its the brakes, as it pulls left slighty under light braking, and when it starts to shake hitting the brakes stops it...and also a light touch on the pedal in right hand curves keeps it from happening...anyone else have this one happen?

cheers

Wheel bearings, ball joints etc. Is it an old car new car or what? How many miles, what model year and trim level?

It depends on how many parts you want to throw at it before you actually diagnose it. It certainly sounds brake-related. Have you examined and measured all of them?

Why would you install suspension for this???

Had the same issue. You will find a lot of people pointing you to lower control arms. Believe it. Solved my problem

My sons has a 2017 forester and similar issue at high speeds and would stop when decelerating.... we brought it in and they found left front lower control arm was broken. Replaced it 2 days ago, so far so good

Sway bar link, perhaps, but that would be unusual. One of them on my 05 was boogered from the factory. Sway bar? Really unlikely.

Did you get the brakes diagnosed? That seemed like the right thing to do from your description.
