Local dealer just installed new short block on our 2015 Forester Limited. This is the car my wife drives and she drove it for about two weeks (approximately 250 total miles) with a 'bubble' in the cooling system. Clearly my wife never saw the overheated engine warning or she would have said something.
Once we discovered the problem, the dealership advised me to fill the radiator until I saw fluid, and fill the reservoir to the 'Fill" line. I ended up adding two quarts of Subaru coolant.
Here my question: what is the likelihood of damage from driving approximately 250 miles over two weeks with a bubble in a cooling system that's 2 quarts low?
Thanks for you input.
Brad
