Engine light on, traction control and cruise disabled

i have a 2013 impreza sport limited and i just got it back from the shop tuesday and the check engine light turned back on the same day and disabled my traction control and cruise control, i know typically cruise gets disabled with a check engine light but is it normal for the traction control to be as well?

I've had this same scenario. The cruise control and traction control lights come on to assure you will notice that the CEL is on. If the CEL is blinking, it can be a major problem; if it stays lit, it "could" be minor. A couple of times when this happened, it was just a bad O2 sensor for me; once it was a bad tire pressure sensor. The most recent was I needed a new catalytic convertor. My dealer, and some auto parts stores, will scan the code to see what's wrong. And fyi, I'm driving a 2009 Impreza base model with 137k miles on it.
