EA81 starter&flywheel

I have a EA81 with belt reduction unit on rear of block the front pulley was machined and a flywheel was mounted the starter is mounted on engine mount the engine is bolted to that when I started engine the front pulley broke I had the machine shop cut the front keyway all the way to the end I only have 1 front pulley left do I get it machined or try something else. Does anybody have experience with this
