LOL I used to travel to Germany on business a lot and my business associates there simply couldn't understand America's obsession with cup holders in cars.
When you're driving you're supposed to drive, if you want to eat or drink, you're to get off the road to do it.
If the police in Germany catch you yacking on a cellphone while driving, they'll throw you under their jail after confiscating your phone and maybe your car too.

In fairness, they're much more strict about training/testing...and their roads are MUCH better.

That's because they pay for it. You get what you pay for and it rarely pays off to cheatp out in anything.
