Hi,

I'm trying to replace my TR 580 Valve Control assembly. I'm at the point of removing the
cover to access the TR 580. It's not coming off and is really stubborn. Does anyone have any tips? I've been using a rubber mallet to try to loosen the cover. I took all the bolts off.
All 10. Any help would be appreciated. I'm 5' 5" and don't have much strength either.
Is there a safe spot on the cover I can try to pry open with a screw driver? I know it's aluminum. Thank you!

Make sure all the bolts are truly out including any hidden or overlooked ones. Use a plastic or rubber trim tool instead of a screwdriver. Tap around the edges with the mallet to break any sealant, then gently pry at reinforced points or corners if accessible.

Thank you Alex! It worked.
