I have a 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness. Love it.
Occasionally (very occasionally), the head unit forgets that it is supposed to use the car's speakers/microphone for CarPlay.
Sometimes, I have to reset my phone, sometimes, it corrects itself.
I've heard there is a CarPlay upgrade available, but it is dealer installed only. I was told at the dealer that it takes three hours to install the upgrade, and it has to be a separate appointment to getting the oil changed or regular maintenance.
Has anyone else run into this issue?
iPhone 15+ iOS 18.1.4 (latest developer beta). It has happened with previous versions of iOS too, so I don't believe that is it.
Phone stays in my pocket in the car 99% of the time, except on the rare occasion I need to charge it.
Thanks for any guidance.
Mike.
