Back up camera

Does anyone know if I add a rear view mirror with the split screen that has the back up camera, will it provide me with an operational back up camera? Do you know if the wiring is there? Does it require other hard wear?
I have a 2013 Outback with navigation. The back up camera is already installed but I do not have a back up display (in my rear view mirror)
