Hello,
I am a Full-Time RV'er, tinkerer, and an avid Outback fan. I need a transmission expert for this one...
I want to flat-tow a Subaru Outback with an AUTOMATIC transmission, without destroying said transmission. I have envisioned a system that would use an auxiliary transmission pump, with flow sensors using an Arduino controller to monitor flow rate and honk the Outback's horn if it stops. The whole system would be powered by the tow vehicle.
The MILLION $$$ Question... Is ATF flow the ONLY reason a Subaru Outback with AT can't be towed?
Thanks,
J
