Hello all! We're having an issue with our 2011 Outback 2.5L which I can't make any sense of, I hope that someone else can give me a clue as to what's wrong and how to fix it.

It began with a check engine light, I scanned it and it was throwing a code for a MAP sensor. I replaced the MAP sensor with a new one and did a CPU reset. Shortly into its next drive, all of the lights on the dash came on with the brake light blinking. Now it stalls several times before starting up, and sometimes stalls at idle. It throws a number of codes:

- P2227: Barometric Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance
- P0117: Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Low Input
- P0068: MAP/ MAF - Throttle Position Correlation
- C0057: ECM Control System
- C0024: Front Left ABS Sensor Signal
- C0022: Front Right ABS Sensor Signal

I'd read that this sort of situation-of-many-codes can be caused by bad grounding, so I cleaned/replaced the battery's connections to both the block and the chassis. This didn't influence the situation. Could this be a bad ECM? I'm hoping that someone experienced can suggest likely causes or where to start looking. Thank you in advance!

Is it likely that when you did the CPU reset, it did not work properly and several of the sensors no longer functioned/signalled properly? Rather like "cold rebooting" a computer, you might try again resetting the CPU and see if it helps. Just a basic computer thought. If all else fails, reboot!

I know that a bad gas cap seal could prompt an evap system code in most cars, but would it explain the MAP, ECM, coolant, and ABS codes in a Subaru?

I rebooted three times by removing the negative terminal, pumping the brakes to discharge any charge in the system, letting it sit for ~30min, then reconnecting and idling for ~30min before taking it for a spirited drive. Is there a better protocol for a reboot?
