On my wife’s 2013 Outback 3.6R, adding the factory remote start added another small fob for remote start. It does not replace the original key with buttons. While the remote start works well, be aware that as soon as you open a door or the hatch, the car shuts off. You have to put the key in and restart it.I have a 2016 Subaru Outback that uses a key to start it. I want to add OEM remote start. Does anyone know if the remote start key fob replaces the one that came with the car or will I need to have 2 fobs? ie one for the remote start and one to lock & unlock the car.
