i have had the same problem for 3 years now... Once i get my auto tranny
into gear, it drives just fine, but getting it into gear is the problem...
It will sometimes click right into drive... but other times it can take
3-5 minutes of reving the enging to about 2500 rpm to finally get it to
"click in" when it is cold outside, it will slip a little then click
in... when it is warm it has a lot of trouble going in... it is the
weirdest problem... I wonder if i have a selenoid bad? i dont know...
Tranny shops in my area wont touch it other then put in a refurbished
tranny... It started when the car only had 70k miles on it... now it has
130k, and has never gotten any worse or any better for that matter... I
have replaced both the external and internal tranny filters... I just
wanted to know if anyone out there has had this problem before i go buy a
used tranny... thank you
