I just started to do the timing belt and seals on my 1.8 impreza
and found my covers are broken .
What do replacement covers cost and is the dealer the only source
for them?

You should be able to pick one up at a junkyard.

For holes, I have successfully used the white hot glue. Not the clear
stuff. Even worked on my fan cage after a deer smashed it in.
