90 Legacy 2.2 - Starts OK, then dies when electrical is demanded, especially when warm

Any ideas, I know this must be a classic set of symptoms... Thanks

I'd get a load test done on the battery (how old is it?) and have the
alternator checked out.

Symptoms seem consistent with like something is shorting to ground
under higher current draw/heat conditions. Could be a cell shorting
in the battery, insulation on windings of the alternator failing under
higher heat, or the voltage regulator's p/n junctions saying "17 years
is just too damned long."
