Hi all… I have a question. Three people in my life all purchased three different year Outback’s with the v6 motor. Two of the Outback’s are 2019 and 2018 with less than twenty five thousand miles. The third one is a 2010 that just hit one hundred thousand miles. I looked up the vehicle history through different sources all three were never involved in an accident and were all dealership maintained. What are some of the issues that I need to be aware of?

It is a flat 6
Not a V6
Subaru doesn't make inline or V engines

Leaks everywhere. (Newer ones won't have it for now

Rust

Steering rack.

Sunroof (?)

Exhaust leaks ( rust related)

You will need to absolutely make sure that 5EAT(until 2014) or CVT fluid was changed every 30k miles

And have it checked out by a boxer mechanic ( not the dealer obviously
