2nd gen forester transmission into 2nd gen Impreza

I’ve got a lifted (forester struts) 2007 Impreza with some bigger wheels and have a 2003 forester xs, both cars especially have the same engines, and the same shift patterns (both automatic unfortunately) the forester has a different gear ratio in first and second and the same in third and fourth, I’m wondering if the forester transmission would bolt onto the Impreza engine without and adapter kits the way the struts are interchangeable. Any help with this would be appreciated
