I recently had some body work done on my 2020 Forester Limited after being hit by a deer on the passenger side. Since getting the vehicle back, I've noticed an occasional issue where after driving the vehicle for a while, the combination display will change from whatever I have it set to (usually digital speedometer or tire pressure values) to the trip meter/gas usage when I hit the brakes. It then switches back to the original display when I release the brake, but this behavior continues everytime I hit the brakes and subsequently release them. If I turn the car off and on, the issue resolves itself. I don't recall this ever occurring before my accident and I know that the shop ran a "Memory Function Re-Set," in addition to disconnecting the battery for certain periods of the repair and disconnecting & reconnecting other parts.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
