Has anyone had to replace leaking cam carriers on their Outback TWICE in less than 2 and a half years?
A multipoint inspection at a Subaru dealership in Dec 2022 found the cam carriers on my 2018 Outback were leaking and needed to be replaced.
Fortunately, the car was still under warranty so the replacement cost me nothing.
But now, in April 2025, after another multipoint inspection at another Subaru dealership, I'm told the cam carriers are again leaking and need to be replaced at a cost of over $4K.
